Synopsis
A harsh winter freezes the surface of a river near the house of two cousins — Thaddeus, a shepherd bound to his ox, and Emídio, incapable and dependent. Wrapped in the icy wind, their fraught relationship reaches its breaking point, forcing Thaddeus to choose between saving the animal that sustains him or the cousin who hinders him.
