Synopsis
João, an actress from Lisbon, is cast in a biopic about Liberada, a gender-nonconforming nun persecuted by the Portuguese Inquisition in the eighteenth century. As she clashes with the film's director over how Liberada's story should be told, João begins to be haunted by Liberada's ghost in her dreams, blurring the line between past and present.
