Synopsis
Angola, 1975. Ema is expecting her first child, living in the tranquillity of her home, when the first shot of post-independence civil war is fired and everyone is forced to leave. In just over six minutes of mixed-media animation, the film conveys the sudden rupture experienced by those caught in the colonial retrocession, stripped of comfort and belonging in an instant.
