Synopsis
Rosa, a twenty-year-old woman from Cape Verde, immigrates to Lisbon leaving her two children behind in hopes of building them a better future. In her new city she faces intimidation from gang leaders and harassment by police. She finds solace in her community of women and, above all, in music, which becomes her lifeline.
