Synopsis
In 1918, Maria Adelaide Coelho, wealthy heiress and owner of the newspaper Diário de Notícias, abandons her privileged life to run away with her chauffeur, 22 years her junior. The consequences of this decision prove painful and morally devastating for everyone involved.
