Synopsis
Just after World War II, around 5,000 Austrian children were sent to host families in neutral Portugal to recover from the violence of war. Drawing exclusively on archival footage and testimonies, this documentary reflects on children in conflict and post-conflict situations, and the power of their gaze in revealing realities obscured by official narratives.
